Sr. Developer Responsibilities: . Solve the developer community’s needs by designing, developing and maintaining the Extension Manager product. Included in this responsibility is collaborating with online solution teams relating to the Extension Manager product . Provide technical advice and guidance for teams integrating the Extension Manager into other Adobe products, such as Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. . Provide technical advice and guidance for other developers, testers and release engineers on the Extension Manager project. . Identify key areas for further enhancement of xx’s offerings to the Creative Suite developer community and provide solutions for those areas. This includes both client system applications such as the Extension Manager as well as online community resources such as Adobe Exchange and similar initiatives. Knowledge & Skills: Experience should include 5+ years or more of experience in software engineering, including product development, consultation, and architectural design. This role will involve working closely with others on the Extension Manager team, requiring good communication skills and the ability to productively guide others’ technical tasks. This position requires an energetic, experienced self-starter with a history of successfully delivering projects of significant technical complexity. Ideal candidate has proven ability to problem solve quickly in demanding situations involving competing requirements, multiple office locations and hard deadlines as well as a deep understanding of computer science principles. Experience with multiple scripting languages and development environments divferred. Although not strictly required, divference is given to candidates willing to travel to multiple Adobe offices around the globe should the need arise. Qualifications: . Excellent problem solving, software design and software development skills, the ability to be extremely detail oriented and to use analysis to drive decisions. . Proven experience designing and maintaining complex technical projects to successful completion. . Candidates must be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and technical problems. . Proven ability to work with others. Skills: . Proficient in the use of multiple programming and scripting languages; including a deep knowledge of C++ and at least one of the following: Action Script or Java Script. . Experience in delivering client-server products. . English language proficiency in written and verbal communication. . Preference is given to candidates with proficiency in Flash-based development, Flex Builder and/or the Eclipse development environment. Developer Responsibilities: . Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is necessary. Preference is given to those having 3 years or more of experience in software development. This position requires an energetic self-starter with a history of successfully delivering projects of significant technical complexity either in the business or academic world. Ideal candidate has proven ability to problem solve quickly in demanding situations involving competing requirements, multiple office locations and hard deadlines as well as a deep understanding of computer science principles. INTERACTION: Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team. SUPERVISION: Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
